First, the rum ripened for thirteen years in former bourbon Casks and then matured for a further five years in former Ruby port wine Casks from the Duoro Valley in Portugal.
Nose: black cherries and soft toffee fudge, spicy aromas behind it
Taste: full in the body - again the cherries, butterscotch and spicy notes of cardamom, anise and fennel
Finish: medium-long finish - the fruits are back present, as well as the elegantly spicy tones
