Since 2002, the Scottish Speyside distillery Balvenie distils their Whisky with 100% peated barley for one week a year!
Responsible for this is the distillery manager Ian Millar, who installed a "Peat Burner" at Balvenie in 2002.
The barley used is from the Scottish Speyside.

Nose: gentle, sweet peat smoke, then floral aromas paired with butterscotch and honey
Taste: velvety soft in the taste, again the peat smoke, then spicy oak and vanilla, honey behind the flowers
Finish: the soft peat smoke is again present, accompanied by tones of creamy vanilla
