Benromach 2010/2018 Chateau Cissac Wood Finish 45%vol. 0,7l
Benromach has been thrilling with fine wood finishes for years, this bottling has been given an extra maturation in ex Bordeaux wine barrels from the French Chateau Cissac. Distilled in 2010, this single malt whisky matured over eight years before being bottled in 2018.
Nose: intense fruit flavors - especially honeydew melon, orange and ripe apples - over all soft and spicy aromas and some smoke
Taste: creamy mouthfeel with notes of vanilla, cocoa and black pepper - then follow ripe lemons and roasted nuts
Finish: long on the finish - very well balanced, now clearly the red wine influence and again some smoke
