The miniature of Glenfarclas' 30-year-old Single Malt Whisky comes in a red, heavy wooden box that immediately reminds of the bright red doors of the distillery warehouses.
Like all Single Malts from Glenfarclas, this one also matured in former Spanish sherry casks - just a little longer than others - over 30 years!
Nose: complex aromas with many ripe fruits, full of sherry and malted notes
Taste: again the fruits, recalls little of cognac - then comes again the sherry, with nuts and marzipan, in the background dark chocolate
Finish: very long in the finish - Sherry and chocolate remain present for a long time
