It's not too common to find a single cask bottling from Scotland's Speyside distillery Dailuaine - here's one! Distilled on 21st May 1997, bottled into two hogsheads #7213 and #7222, the single malt whisky was aged for over 23 years, then the independent bottler Signatory married the casks together and bottled them on April 22, 2021 to just 274 bottles.
Nose: clearly fresh fruit in a box, plus ripe barley, some honey and fresh herbs Taste: soft and mouth-filling - then becoming more fruity, again the ripe fruit and the honey - behind it develop light notes of spicy oak, delicate tannins and again the herbs Finish: long finish with tones of fresh bread and spicy oak - the fruit can be seen in the background
