Proud 64.5% vol. Alcohol content of this single malt whisky from the Scottish Highlands - filled in barrel strength without the addition of dyes in Ian MacLeods As we get it series.

Nose: clearly barley sugar and plum jam, with soft milk chocolate and some mint
Taste: strong sherry notes - intense notes of dried fruit with a pleasant sweetness
Finish: chocolate again, paired with peppery notes and roasted nuts

Prima single Maltet Whisky.Durch den hohen Alkoholgehalt vielleicht nichts für jeden Whiskytrinker, aber ich mag das. Trinke ihn pur und in ganz kleinen Schlückchen. Man muss ihn im Mund "laufen" lassen. dann kommt so richtig das ganze Bukett. Mir gefällt das.

Leider macht der bissige Alkoholgehalt sämtliche Aromen, falls vorhanden, nieder. Auch die Nase bekommt ihren Teil weg. Insgesamt, und für diesen Preis, enttäuschend.
