The single malt whiskey "Floki" matures in barrels in which the Young Malts of the Eimverk Distillery were previously stored - originally fresh oak barrels without pre-assignment. This, together with the Icelandic barley, creates a special and atypical single malt whiskey.
For the "Double Wood Single Cask Reserve", the whiskey was ripened in a barrel in which Stout beer from the Bryggjan brugghús beer brewery had previously been stored.
Aroma: clearly malty aromas, paired with a hint of vanilla and spicy aromas - especially anise and cardamom - some honey and roasted coffee beans behind
Taste: creamy mouthfeel with clear notes of fresh whipped cream, toffee and freshly baked - followed by dried fruits and again the spices
Finish: warming-malty - again toffee and coffee
