The 18-year-old Springbank is much more powerful compared to the 10-year-old.
Matured exclusively in former bourbon casks.
Aroma: Lemon cake and fresh pear peels, then olive oil, almonds and pastries - above all the typical Campbeltown saltiness with some vinegar
Taste: juicy carrot cake with frosting, molasses and freshly squeezed lemons - followed by notes of dried bananas, grated coconut and Butterscotch
Departure: very delicate on the finish with noticeable licorice, ginger bread and fresh vanilla - in the background mint, cream and vanilla milkshake

Ein feiner filigraner Spitzenwhisky mit Salzkaramel, mineralischem Einschlag, Vanille und Springbankqualität! Ein komplexer Tropfen für Fortgeschrittene.

Eine Schande !
Entäuschend..!
Nachdem ich vom 15 jährigen begeistert bin, hab ich mir erwartungsvoll den 18 jährigen gegönnt.
Doch....was ist das ? Farbe schon viel blasser, bei weitem nicht die Würzigkeit des 15ers. Was ist da los ? Schmeckt fast wie ein jüngerer, sogar etwas leicht alkoholsch, metallisch....
Ein Witz....!
Würde lieber 2 Flaschen vom 15 jährigen kaufen, der ist es wert.
Den 18er würde ich nicht für den halben Preis mehr nehmen.
Entäuschung pur.
Ich werde bei einer offenen Verkostung nochmals eine andere Flasche/Abfüllung probieren. Wenn der dann wieder so ist, dann war es das für mich.
Ansonsten kann ich Home Of Malts empfehlen. Klappte alles bisher bestens.
