Glendalough 13 year old Mizunara finish 46% vol. 0,7l
The guys from Glendalough are known for their experimentation - and so this single malt whiskey first matured in exBourbon barrels made of American oak and then received a finish in Puncheon barrels made of Japanese Mizunara oak.
Nose: clearly vanilla and soft toffee, with ripe oranges and pine nuts - roasted almonds in the background
Taste: clearly nutty in the taste with almonds and pecans, with chocolate coated macadamia nuts - above all ripe apricots and pears
Finish: the fruit again, with sandalwood and milk chocolate - behind it are light notes of roasted coffee beans
