Glendalough's Single Malt Whiskey matured in US exBourbon barrels for seven years and then matured in Irish Porter beer kegs.
The number seven is inevitably linked to Glendalough, as it is the number of years that Saint Kevin (the man on the bottle) lived in the wilderness by the Lake of Glendalough.

Aroma: cocoa and toffee, then ripe apples and roasted oak with light vanilla flavors
Taste: strong notes of dark chocolate and preserved fruits with black pepper and cloves, ripe mandarins behind
Finish: long on the finish - warming and spicy
