Limited edition of a molasses rum from El Dorado, distilled in jar 2004 in a Coffey-still, the rum matured in tropical conditions on Guyana for 14 years in former bourbon barrels.
Bottled in 2018 without cold filtration in cask strength with an alcohol content of 60.1%vol.
Nose: clearly the molasses, to a pleasant sweetness of caramelized sugar and toffee, a little vanilla - then spicier with aromas of dark cocoa
Taste: soft in the taste - in the beginning light notes of toffee and cane sugar, followed by honey and spicy oak notes
Finish: Long finish with pleasantly spicy tones of exotic spices and tobacco
