In May 2009, Fred Laing invented the lively fisherman of Islay, which became the Big Peat.
For 10 years now, this blended malt whiskey has enriched the whiskey world, the label is reminiscent of an old photo album and features a collection of emblems, stamps and hand-drawn illustrations in honor of Big Peat's Homeland, Islay. A small booklet tells the story of Big Peat and his whiskey adventures.
Aroma: Peat smoke and damp leaves - with a peppery heat
Taste: smoked barley, warm, damp ash and strong maritime notes accompanied by a light sweetness - over all old leather
Finish: long finish with hints of spicy bacon, then tobacco, roasted marshmallows and charred wood
