An elegant, dark molasses rum from Guatemala, matured in oak casks and bottled at a powerful 52% ABV. The sample makes it easy to get to know.
The rum first matures for a long time in Guatemala by the solera method in different cask types. It is then shipped to France, where it matures for six months in Cognac barrels in the cellars of the Charente.
Tasting Notes: What El Pasador de Oro 52 Tastes Like
- Nose: Fresh sugar cane juice and molasses, plus fruity aromas of tropical fruit and dark berries; exotic fruit, vanilla and toasted wood
- Palate: The fruit again, then light vanilla tones and butterscotch – spicy notes above all; the alcoholic power carries pastry, yellow fruit and warm spice
- Finish: Long – vanilla, spice and caramel stay for a long time; dry, underlined by the signature of the Charente barrels
