With this bottling limited to only 4,802 bottles, Compass Box Whiskey celebrates the 10-year collaboration with the design company Stranger & Stranger, which creates the labels and gift packs of the Compass Box bottlings.
Selected for this bottling single malt whiskeys from the Scottish distilleries Glenlossie (Re-charred Hogshead 80%), Glen Elgin (Re-charred Barrels 14%) and Linkwood (Sherry Butt 5%) - plus a Grain Spirit with only one percent share from a refill hogshead from the Grain distillery Girvan.
... and this one percent makes this bottling officially an ordinary spirit, whiskey must not call this bottling!
So a typical Compass Box bottling, against the mainstream, always with the goal in mind to create something extraordinary and exclusive.
Aroma: vanilla and creme brulee, dark sugar and fresh apples - all over fragrant herbs
Taste: sweet in the taste, again the vanilla and the apples, in addition ripe apricots and plums - behind it caramel and spicy oak
Finish: long, pleasantly sweet finish - again the fruits and the oak
