A relatively young Caol Ila distilled in June 2010, this single malt matured eight years in a Refill Hogshead, then Douglas Laing filled the barrel on 396 bottles in September 2018 in the Provenance series.
Aroma: soft smoke, with traces of seaweed, ham and lime - in the background a little iodine
Taste: initially peppery, then warm, sweet notes of apples and limes - above all smoked ham
Finish: long and creamy on the finish with hints of peppermint and lemon peel
