Product information "Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserve 1863 40% vol. 0.05l"
The name inevitably suggests that this rum comes from Austria.
But far from it, the Albert Michler distillery is based in the British Bristol, the rum comes from the Dominican Republic.
In 1863, Albert Michler was purveyor to the Austrian-Hungarian court and one of the first to publicize rum from the Caribbean in Europe.

Aroma: strong, sweet aromas, with lots of spice from the oak barrels, with vanilla and roasted aromas behind
Taste: soft and creamy in the taste with an elegant sherry sweetness, again the vanilla and then with brown sugar fried bananas
Finish: long, soft finish
