Aberlour's 62nd batch of the coveted a'bunadh (gaelic: "from the origin").
For this bottling, Spanish exOloroso sherry casks are selected and left untreated - ie without colorings and without cold filtration, in barrel size - just "from the origin".
Aroma: intense spicy aromas, paired with sweet sherry, juicy oranges and the scent of fresh chocolates
Taste: soft and creamy in the taste with clear notes of oranges, black cherries and dried fruits, plus an elegant ginger note and dark dark chocolate - over all sherry and spicy oak
Finish: robust and intense on the finish, with bittersweet notes of exotic spices, again the chocolate and the oak
