Oban is located in the homonymous harbor town in the Scottish Highlands, the distillery is one of the smallest and oldest in Scotland.
Since 1997 Oban fills the Distillers Edition once a year, matured in Montilla-Fino barrels.
Aroma: clearly fruity aromas with a slight pungency, salty sea air and juicy grapes - behind them orange and some smoke
Taste: full and heavy in flavor with fine fruit notes and sea
Finish: fresh coffee and spicy oak - followed by intense malt tones

Ein absolut leckerer und runder Whisky. Durch das Finish in Montilla Fino Sherryfässern, bekommt er eine ausgeprägte fruchtige Note. Gespickt mit der typischen Salznote. Im Gegensatz zum 14 jährigen Oban ist sie etwas weniger dominant und von Torf ist nur noch ein Hauch da. Genau mein Ding. Lecker.
