Diageos Cladach (Gaelic: Coastline) is the consistent successor to the Collectivum from 2017.
For this blended malt whiskey, the malt whiskeys from the six "coastal distilleries" Caol Ila, Clynelish, Lagavulin, Oban, Inchgower and Talisker were used.
Matured in first-fill and refill exBourbon barrels made of American oak as well as refill and exBodega butts from European oak - bottled in barrel strength.
Aroma: strong aromas of dark fruits, plus campfire smoke and pinewood - followed by seaweed, some orange and salted caramel
Taste: Sweet and smokier in the taste with clearly wood smoke and toffee, with ripe blueberries and apples, some licorice and beeswax - in the background a little mint
Departure: pleasantly dry with notes of dark chocolate and orange, paired with a dash of vanilla
