Inchgower 27 year old Special Release 2018 55,3%vol. 0,7l

Founded in 1824 near Buckie on the River Spey in Speyside, Inchgower was taken over by Bell & Sons in 1938.
Most of the production goes into the blends of Bell's, White Horse and Johnnie Walker.

This noble, rare single malt whisky was matured in American oak refill hogsheads, distilled in 1990, the single malt matured for over 27 years, then the barrels were bottled in 2018 at only 8,544 bottles.

Taste: dry and spicy with ripe fruit and slightly spicy aromas, like old fruit boxes with ripe, red apples in a dusty malt barn, with jute sacks and walnuts - vanilla and dark chocolate behind. Taste: cool and dry in the beginning, then soft with an unexpected sweetness of sugared fruit compote - then becoming stronger with mint and notes of burnt toast, dark chocolate and bowls of grapes
Finish: long and spicy finish with notes of cedar wood, cloves and black tea
