Port Dundas 1978/2018 XOP Platinum 70th Anniversary Douglas Laing 59.1% vol. 0,7l
In 2018, Douglas Laing celebrated the 70th anniversary of the company's history.
On this occasion, the independent bottler in the noble XOP Platinum series presents this 40-year-old single grain whiskey from the legendary distillery Port Dundas.
Distilled in January 1978, this single grain whiskey matured for more than 40 years, then the Refill Hogshead was bottled in May 2018 to only 168 bottles.
Aroma: rich and sweet with distinct aromas of molasses, fresh ginger bread, ripe grain and cane sugar
Taste: full mouthfeel with strong notes of dark fruits - warm spicy - soft toffee above all
Departure: very soft on the finish - again the spicy notes, in addition freshly baked
Distilled: January 1978
Bottled: May 2018
DL Ref .: 12470
Edition: 168 bottles with individual numbering
