Highland Parks Viking legend Valknut matured predominantly in former sherry barrels made of American oak.
The design of the bottle and packaging was designed by the Danish Jim Lyngvild.

Aroma: warm peat smoke and freshly cut vanilla pods, spicy honey with plenty of thyme, anise and heather
Taste: roasted barley and vanilla, sweet cloves and ground pepper, followed by notes of freshly beaten oak and again the aniseed - over all light, subtle peat smoke
Finish: sweet and spicy with clearly nutmeg and ginger, fresh bread and orange peel - then coal and peat smoke
