The sixth edition of the powerful barrel filling of Glengoyne - with a lot of sherry barrel influence and freshly baked.

Aroma: malted aromas, followed by ground pepper and allspice - then fruity, especially pears and apples - behind butterscotch and toffee
Taste: Baked apples with honey and spices, almonds and a lot of malt
Finish: spicy oak and barley, juicy oranges behind

Persönlicher Besuch der Destillery in Schottland mit nachträglichem Kauf des Cask Strength Whiskeys in Deutschland bei Home of Malts. Meine persönliche Einschätzung: Hoher Alkoholgehalt ist nicht unbedingt ein Plus an Geschmack. Ich und besonders auch meine Frau bleiben beim "Standard Glengyone" mit 10 Jahren bzw. 15/18 Jahren.
