The first of Arran's Explorers Series - each edition presents an outstanding location in the beautiful and diverse landscape of Arran Island.
The broad bay "Brodick Bay" is surrounded by dense pine forests and is guarded by the highest peak of the island, the "goat rock".
The island offers a wide variety of outdoor activities due to the varied terrain with its sandy beach, green field, impenetrable forest and edgy mountain pass.
The Single Malt Whiskey first matured for over 20 years in former Bourbon Barrels and former Sherry Hogsheads, then he got his finish in exOloroso Sherry Butts from the Tradicion bodega in Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
Aroma: intense aromas of soft toffee, in addition to the typical Arran citrus fruits
Taste: soft and sweet in the taste, again the toffee, in addition dark chocolate fudge and raisins covered with chocolate - over all soft honey, spicy oak and Schinusbeeren
Finish: long finish with light, sweet notes of ripe fruit, again the chocolate
