Tomatin shows how closely these elements are linked to the production of whiskey: water feeds wood - wood keeps fire upright - fire brings life to the earth - earth produces metal - metal collects water, so the circle closes.
This bottling contains Spirit distilled only in winter, matured in former sherry butts (50%) and bourbon barrels (50%).
Aroma: ripe fruits, mild honey and chocolate
Taste: a lot of toffee, soft and creamy, with marzipan and fresh blood orange jam
Finish: long finish - oily and warming
