For over 11 years, this heavily peated single malt whiskey matured in a newly burned American oak barrel, distilled in March 2005, bottled in December 2017 in barrel strength without cold filtration to only 228 bottles in the Single Cask Selection.
Aroma: at the beginning soft peat smoke and some pineapple - behind it light citrus flavors, especially lemons
Taste: full mouthfeel with distinct peat smoke and strong toffee notes, followed by notes of vanilla syrup and cinnamon
Departure: long finish - the peat smoke is present, behind it spicy notes

Viel Rauch und viel Süße, aber leider wenig komplex. Alles in allem hat er für den Preis meine Erwartungen nicht erfüllt.
