Glen Scotia 2002/2017 Single Cask # 203 55.2% vol. 0,7l
Distilled in May 2002, this heavily peated single malt whiskey from the Campbeltown distillery of Glen Scotia matured for 14 years in a refill exBourbon barrel, then the barrel # 203 in barrel strength without cold filtration was reduced to just 230 bottles in the Single Cask Selection bottled.
Aroma: sweet peat smoke and ripe citrus fruits in the nose - behind it light aromas of bitter jam
Taste: soft and pungent in the taste, again the citrus fruits, then spicier notes of nutmeg and ginger
Departure: long finish - the peat smoke remains, with spicy notes and fresh lemon peel
Distilled: May 2002
Bottled: December 2017
