The Scottish Highland distillery Deanston fills this single malt whisky without cold filtration and without the addition of dyes.
After a short maturation period in traditional former bourbon barrels from the USA, this whisky is stored in new, freshly burned American oak barrels.

Nose: light citrus aromas, with sweet barley sugar and traces of apples and nutmeg
Taste: candied fruit, vanilla, toffee and heather honey
Finish: delicate and slightly spicy, again the honey and a sweet oak note
