Master Distiller Brian Kinsman drew inspiration from a visit to Niagara's renowned Canadian Peller Estate winery, with temperate -10 degrees Celsius and hard-packed grapes in the vineyards giving him the idea of experimenting with various French oak wine barrels from the winery.
For up to six months Brian Kinsman had several single malts by Glenfiddich ripen in the barrels, this came out of this exclusive 21-year-old Glenfiddich Winter Storm!
Aroma: various tropical fruits, with candied sugar and deep wine aromas
Taste: Soft, sweet notes of candied fruit and Turkish honey, then develop delicious lychee notes - above all strong and dry notes of ice wine
Finish: long finish - again the lychees, the pleasant sweetness and light tannins
