Tomatin presents five limited bottlings dedicated to the five virtues of wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
The first filling presents the element wood. Tomatin shows how closely these elements are linked to the production of whiskey: water feeds wood - wood keeps fire upright - fire brings life to the earth - earth produces metal - metal collects water, so the circle closes.
This bottling matured in barrels of American, French and Hungarian oak Aroma: spicy aromas of oak and cloves, roasted coffee beans and soft vanilla Taste: again the vanilla, to sweet cane sugar and soft fruits - in the background again the oak Finish: long, spicy finish, clear again the cloves, cinnamon and anise
