Portrait: What makes the Plantation Pineapple Stiggins' Fancy.
This special edition is initially produced in the same way as the original Pineapple Stiggins' Fancy. The rum PLANTATION Original Dark is used for the production. An infusion is created with this blend and the pulp of the pineapple. The pineapple skins are put into the white rum PLANTATION 3 Stars. After some time, the white rum is distilled again in the FERRAND copper pot stills.
The distillate and the infusion are finally blended.
In England in the 19th century, the so-called "Pineapple Rum" was (pineapple rum) one of the most popular drinks.
As it always is, such good and beautiful things tend to get lost in time... but not when reading Charles Dickens "Pickwick Papers"!
Here the popular drink is described richly and colorfully - as the favorite drink of the Reverend Stiggins - and this is how the legendary Pineapple Rum found its way into the Plantation range.
Plantation uses the pineapple variety "Queen Victoria Pineapple", pineapples are marinated in selected Caribbean rum for three months.
The skin of the pineapple, which contains most of the fruit's oil, is also marinated in rum and distilled again.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Plantation Pineapple Stiggins' Fancy tastes

Leckerer Rum, der nach Rumtopf mit Ananas schmeckt, nur ohne Früchte
