Mackmyra's Gruvguld (Swedish: mine gold) matured in exOloroso sherry, exBourbon Casks and in Swedish oak Casks .
The result is a spicy single malt whisky with a magnificent oak note!
Nose: spicy aromas of fresh herbs, with ginger and coriander, clearly oak - then develop softer aromas of vanilla fudge and marzipan, in the background slightly fruity citrus tones
Taste: again the spice, elegant notes of tobacco leaves and black currants - then fruity with ripe pears and oranges
Finish: long and spicy finish - only light, fruity notes of ripe pomaceous fruit
