Aroma: elegant and balanced, clear sea salt and seaweed, with pine nuts, fresh wood shavings and honey behind Taste: rich and creamy in the taste with subtle peat notes and sweet and juicy tones - then salted popcorn, tofu, butterscotch and vanilla - in the background tobacco leaves, again the wood chips and Black Forest cake ...! Finish: Pecans and sweet notes of pricked peat, dark chocolate and earthy notes

einer meiner absoluten favoriten unter den rauchwhiskies. ihr ziel, mit den islays mitzuhalten, ist ihnen mit diesem whisky definitiv gelungen. ich persönlich finde, die longrow-serie ist die beste der drei serien aus dem hause springbank.

Ein torfiger Springbank - und der ist wirklich toll. Torfig auf Springbankart. Wunderbar rund und elegant. Bleibt lange im Mund. Ist definitiv für mich jeden Cent wert.

Für mich ist es immer wieder eine besondere Freude wenn das jährlich Batch des Longrow 18 erscheint. Für mich ist das einer der komplettesten und ausgewogensten Whiskys überhaupt. Angenehmer deutlicher Rauch, Meeresaromen, die typischen dreckigen Noten der Springbank Distillery, ein Korb voller Früchte beginnend mit hellen Früchten bis hin zu Maracuja und Erdbeeren, eine wunderbare deutliche Süße, Vanille, Tabak, Nüsse, dezente Würze Eichenwürze, dunkle Schokolade. Ein wuderbarer Whisky der leider seinen Preis hat.

Die Alternative zu den Single Malts aus Islay! Super integrierter Rauch kombiniert mit dem typischen "Funk" von Springbank. Ein toller Whisky für die dunklere Jahreszeit.
