The Epicurean Lowland Blended Malt Douglas Laing 46.2% vol. 0.05l
The Epicurean is a fresh, pleasantly sweet Blended Malt Whiskey (Vatted Malt) from selected malt distilleries of the Scottish Lowlands.
The bottle design and gift box recalls Glasgow's lively party life in the 1930s.
Aroma: distinctively malted barley with intense aromas of citrus fruits and fresh herbs in combination with floral tones
Taste: full-bodied and sweet in the taste - caramelized sugar, flambéed lemon peel and a wonderfully fruity note of ripe peaches - this develops a clear, pleasantly spicy thyme note
Finish: lingering finish - again the fresh herbs and the caramelized sugar, almond and freshly cut grass
Timorous Beastie Highland Blended Malt Douglas Laing 46.8% vol. 0.05l
Timorous Beastie got its name from the poem To a mouse by Robert Burns, probably the most famous poet and poet of Scotland.
This Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey is an ode to the Scottish Highlands - and so only single malts from the Highlands find their way to this little mouse!
Distilleries such as Blair Athol, Glen Garioch, The Dalmore and Glengoyne are represented.
Typical flavors of Scottish heather and wild mountain honey combine skilfully with warm notes of fine wood, raisin cookies and spice to a typical Highland character.
Scallywag Speyside Blended Malt Douglas Laing 46% vol. 0.05l
Awarded " Big Gold" at ISW 2016 (International Spirits Competition)
Awarded the Best Blended Malt Whiskey Design of the World Whiskeys Awards 2014
Fox Terriers are the favorite dogs of the Laing family - they provided the inspiration for the new creation of the renowned independent bottler from Scotland.
Because the little scamps ("wee Scallywags") are known to be sweet and at the same time cheeky - character traits that they share with the spicy and delightfully sweet Speyside Blended Malt.
Only the finest Speyside malts, including Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes, are included in Scallywag.
Bottled with 46% alcohol content and not cold-filtered, this Small Batch bottling has a bright golden color thanks to its maturation in exBourbon and Spanish exSherry casks.
The result: a unique malt with a spicy character that blends with a hint of vanilla and a mixture of sweet compote, dark chocolate, aromatic orange and sweet tobacco.
Aroma: intense sweetness of cane sugar, sultanas and candied ginger, plus some cereals
Taste: again the sweetness, with nutmeg and pastry - then vanilla and cinnamon
Finish: spicy oak, vanilla and sherry notes on the finish
Rock Oyster Iceland Blended Malt Douglas Laing 46.8% vol. 0.05l
Awarded Grand Gold at ISW 2015 (International Spirits Competition)
A Vatted Malt Whiskey (only selected single malt whiskeys from the Scottish islands of Jura, Islay, Arran and the Orkney Islands were used for this bottling) from Douglas Laing.
A tribute to the sea using the finest maritime malt whiskeys.
Rock Oyster is a translation of the delicious rock oysters from the depths of the sea where, with good luck, you can find a pearl.
This malt whiskey hides the treasure in the bottle - delicate, tasteful and rich in flavor with aromas of the stormy, North Atlantic Sea.
As with Douglas Laing, of course, without the addition of dyes and without cold filtering.
Aroma: coastal rocks lapped by the sea and a fresh, salty sea breeze
Taste: soft notes of sweet peat, smoke and honey - then moist ash, liquorice and a hint of pepper
Finish: long finish, in which the strong aromas and notes come back again clearly
This whiskey makes you want to sea!
Big Peat - Small Batch Douglas Laing 46% vol. 0.05l
Winner of the silver medal at ISW 2015 (International Spirits Competition)
Winner of the silver medal at the ISW 2017 (International Spirits Contest)
"One scoop full" Islay Malt Whiskeys!
Including Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and even Port Ellen!
For "Big Peat" the best Islay single malts were married to each other.
This strong-smoky blended malt gives away the winter spirits and makes for a fire on the palate!
Aroma: warming peat smoke, with chocolate, nutty aromas and coffee - spicy with a little cinnamon - oily-smoky
Taste: straight out! a lot of heavy smoke, peat and again the nuts - spicy
Finish: short finish, now you can see the proximity to the sea - clearly smoke

Schöne Möglichkeit die Welt der remarkable regional Malts kennenzulernen. Diese Serie ist sehr gut gelungen, die einzelnen Mals unterscheiden sich hinsichtlich ihrer Region deutlich und sind stets mindestens gut.
