Tomatin presents five limited bottlings dedicated to the five virtues of wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
The fifth bottling presents the element of water.
Tomatin shows how closely these elements are linked to the production of whiskey: water feeds wood - wood keeps fire upright - fire brings life to the earth - earth produces metal - metal collects water, so the circle closes.
This bottling contains Spirit distilled only in winter, matured in former sherry butts (50%) and bourbon barrels (50%).
Aroma: ripe fruits, mild honey and chocolate
Taste: a lot of toffee, soft and creamy, with marzipan and fresh blood orange jam
Finish: long finish - oily and warming
