Ardmore 20 Year Old Vintage 1996 49.3% vol. 0,7l
Ardmore fills in a small amount of malt whiskey production under the distiller's name, with the lion's share still in the blending industry.
Even rarer you will find an age on the label - here is equal to a proud "20" on the label.
The single malt whiskey matured in first-filled exBourbon barrels and in former Islay barrels.
Aroma: clearly butterscotch and roasted nutmeg, served with fig mustard - with a little water a distinct vanilla sweetness and applesauce - in the background truffle and dry camp fire smoke
Taste: soft with distinct vanilla and dry smoky notes
Departure: mild honey with soft peat smoke and fresh rosemary

Well done Ardmore.
