Aroma: slightly waxy with clear fresh vanilla pods, with lemon and hard candy sweets - in the background malted barley and biscuits
Taste: Watermelon, lime and lemon peel, then green apples and fresh shavings from a sharpened pencil - salty peanuts behind, golden syrup and light mineral notes
Finish: very well balanced with notes of peat smoke, vinegar and licorice, with slightly earthy notes

Die zweite Ausgabe des 8-jährigen Ardmore ist sogar noch ein wenig besser als die erste. Auch hier wider absolut spirit driven ohne viel Faßeinfluß. Dafür ein wunderbarer und reiner Brand dem man anmerkt wieviel Sorgfalt auf den Brennprozeß gelegt wurde. Eine Besonderheit in der heutigen Zeit wo man überwiegend auf die Aromn aus den verschiedenen Faßreifungen setzt. Mir sit der hier lieber.
