The Edition 8.1 of the Octomore has a phenol content of 167ppm - a very strong single malt whiskey!

Aroma: a lot of peat, peat smoke and damp ash - in the background a little dark chocolate and warm vanilla, with a clear black, ground pepper
Taste: surprisingly soft with a creamy texture, again the peat smoke and damp ash, some sea salt and sweet hints of vanilla and marzipan - slightly nutty, then ripe citrus fruits
Finish: long, smoky finish with sweet peat

Limited edition of 42,000 bottles worldwide.
