Highland Park 12 years 40% vol.
The 12-year-old is a delicacy with a wonderful heidetone and a full, sweet smoking sound.
The whisky author and critic Michael Jackson calls him the greatest all-rounder among malt whiskys.

Nose: fresh and very aromatic, floral aromas - in the background freshly cut grass, honey and freshly squeezed juice - especially citrus, then cream and sweetness
Taste: full in the taste, clearly orange and pomegranate, toast and green tea - again the slight sweetness
Finish: long, peppery-spicy finish, a hint of oak


Highland Park 18 years 43% vol.
Highland Park's 18-year-old won the gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Nose: floral aromas, aromas of ripe fruit salad, exotic fruits, some honey
Taste: creamy and full of fruit, some espresso, cinnamon and spices, honey again and some smoke
Finish: long sweet finish with a herbal note, some oak

Also, wem der nicht schmeckt... Besonders natürlich der 18er. Der ist zwar im Vergleich viel zu teuer. Aber schon sehr, sehr lecker. Dürfte gerne etwas mehr wumms, so 46 %, haben.
Sonst optimal. Zu recht viele Preise gewonnen.
