Talisker Port Ruighe 45.8% vol. 0.7l - Canvas Case
Taliskers Port Ruighe in blue Cordura fabric case with snaps to close!
This Talisker received a second ripening in port wine barrels.
The bottling is a tribute to the Scottish merchants and sailors who defied the high seas and were instrumental in founding the port wine trade by delivering it all over the world.
"Port Ruighe" (pronounced: Portrie - in English Portree) is the Gaelic name of the once busy trading port on the Isle of Skye.
The port-wine finish combines Talisker's powerful sea-like character with the juicy sweetness of ripe berries for a superior, high-contrast taste experience.
Aroma: sweet and smoky, like a slowly extinguishing log fire, clearly ripe plums
Taste: At the beginning the Talisker-typical pepper note, which develops to an earthy taste, then a soft smoky note, to dark fruits and spices
Finish: long-lasting with a dry smoky note
