The Italian distillery Puni has been producing Italy's first single malt whiskey since 2012 near the South Tyrolean city of Bolzano.
The Alba matured for three years in former Marsala and former whiskey barrels of the Scottish whiskey island Islay.
Aroma: dark fruits and peat smoke are present - behind it light aromas of tobacco leaves and leather
Taste: at the beginning a fruity sweetness of dark, ripe fruits, with notes of sea salt and seaweed, slightly smoky with subtle peaty notes
Finish: medium finish - again the sweetness and the smoke, the influence of the Islay barrels is unmistakable
