Awarded Gold at ISW 2017 (International Spirits Contest)

A limited edition, 18-year-old blended malt whisky made from various island malts - bottled by Douglas Laing in the Regional Malts series in May 2017.

Nose: salty sea air and some tobacco - then sweet and peaty
Taste: initially sweet barley and again the tobacco - then phenolic notes, old leather and some greasy, coupled with smoke and peat
Finish: long finish with a lot of sea!

Einer der besten Blends die ich je getrunken habe , würzig voller Geschmack, sehr vielseitig .Man kann sich lange mit ihm beschäftigen , absolute Kaufmpfehlung!!

Der Rock Oyster ist mir lieber als der Big Peat, denn hier kommt der Rauch nicht so vordergründig sondern präsentiert sich als integrierter Teil der komplexen Aromatik. Auch hier ist die 18 jährige Version kräftiger und tiefgründiger als die gelungene NAS-Version
