From the rather unknown distillery Balmenach in the Scottish Speyside comes this 28-year-old single-barrel bottling, distilled on October 25, 1988, matured at Hogshead # 3248 and bottled by Signatory on March 10, 2017 at 197 bottles.

Aroma: spicy honey and fresh, green apples, followed by the scent of charred oak
Taste: very nutty, especially almonds and walnuts, paired with dark pomaceous fruit - again the oak
Finish: Warm finish with slightly sweet hints of brown sugar, with some mint
