Product information "Glenfarclas 1996/2017 Oloroso Sherry casks 46% vol. 0,7l"
Glenfarclas presents the second bottling of the 1996 Single Malts - and two years older than its predecessor!
Distilled in 1996, this single malt whiskey matured for over 20 years in former Oloroso sherry casks, bottled in 2017.

Aroma: initially intense sherry aromas, then dark, ripe fruit - especially plums and dates, with some chocolate behind
Taste: again clearly the sherry and the ripe fruits, in addition to notes of Demerarazucker and raisins, the chocolate is now clearer
Finish: wonderfully long on the finish with sweet sherry and chocolate tones

Ganz, ganz oben auf der Skala! Alterstypisch sehr komplex, gediegen und edel.

Der beste Glenfarclas, den ich kenne. Ist für den Preis ein echter Knaller. Edle Mischung aus Frucht- und Holznoten, sehr komplex und ausgewogen.

Ein typischer Glendronach.....Sherry Bombe bis zum geht nicht mehr. Seltsamerweise sind die "Christmas/Limited Editions" besser als die regulären 15/20/25 Glenfarclas Whiskies....

Hätte man gesagt, ich habe einen 10-jährigen für 30 Euro im Glas, okay. Würde ich aber auch nicht nachkaufen. Hier gehen wohl die Meinungen schwer auseinander, aber Geschmäcker sind eben verschieden.

Fantastisch

Ich habe selten einen so ausgewogenen, runden und gleichzeitig würzigen Whisky genossen - ein Glenfarclas, der zu diesem Preis seinesgleichen lange suchen muss. Ein absolutes Muss!

Trotz seines Alters wirkt dieser Whisky noch etwas jung. Warum? Ohne Zweifel ein Glenfarcles, aber leider nicht ganz so überzeugend wie viele andere Tropfen aus der sonst sehr empfehlenswerten Distillerie.
