Glenfarclas 1996/2017 Oloroso Sherry casks 46% vol. 0,7l
Distilled in 1996, this single malt whiskey matured for over 20 years in former Oloroso sherry casks, bottled in 2017.
Aroma: initially intense sherry aromas, then dark, ripe fruit - especially plums and dates, with some chocolate behind
Taste: again clearly the sherry and the ripe fruits, in addition to notes of Demerarazucker and raisins, the chocolate is now clearer
Finish: wonderfully long on the finish with sweet sherry and chocolate tones

Leider relativ langweilig und vergleichbar mit den normalen 17er, 18er, 21er, etc. Kein Vergleich zu den Family Casks.

Ganz, ganz oben auf der Skala! Alterstypisch sehr komplex, gediegen und edel.
Der beste Glenfarclas, den ich kenne. Ist für den Preis ein echter Knaller. Edle Mischung aus Frucht- und Holznoten, sehr komplex und ausgewogen.

Ein typischer Glendronach.....Sherry Bombe bis zum geht nicht mehr. Seltsamerweise sind die "Christmas/Limited Editions" besser als die regulären 15/20/25 Glenfarclas Whiskies....
