Douglas Laing's second coup in 2016 - after the 40-year-old is now the 21-year-old Timorous Beastie in the limited edition Sherry Edition.
2,718 bottles were bottled - of which only 450 were bottles for Germany!
A great blended malt whiskey with a lot of sherry influence - only malt whiskeys from the Scottish Highlands can be found in this bottling.
Aroma: clearly sherry with spicy cinnamon and dried fruits - with a strong portion of malt
Taste: a lot, a lot of sherry with a balanced sweetness, paired with nutty notes, again the malt - in the background fine spicy notes of anise and cardamom
Departure: long finish with many fruits and nuts, with a strong hint of chocolate and spicy oak
