Tobermory, located on the Scottish island of Mull, had this 12-year-old single malt whiskey ripen in former Manzanilla barrels.

Aroma: distinctly orange and lemon, plus dried fruits, especially raisins and sultanas - then milk coffee, toffee, spicy notes in the background
Taste: mouth-filling and oily with an elegant sweetness, again clearly the oranges and the raisins, followed by coffee, dark chocolate and exotic spices
Finish: surprisingly dry on the finish with spicy and fruity notes

wer einen sanften whisky mag, ist hier natürlich komplett falsch. aber man weiss ja worauf man sich bei tobermory einlässt. das mazanilla finish verleiht ihm zusätzlich zu seiner stark maritimen note eine unglaubliche fruchtigkeit, besonders in der nase. ein meisterstück
