Glenfarclas 1978/2016 Cask strength 43% vol. 0,7l
Exclusive bottling in barrels from a vatting of two barrels from one of Scotland's last independent distilleries - Glenfarclas!
The former sherry casks with the numbers # 748 and # 749 were filled with fresh distillate on 26.01.1978 and matured over 38 years before they were married together and bottled on 11.07.2016 at only 333 bottles
Aroma: fresh apples and exotic fruits - especially mango and papaya, with fine aromas of spicy oak behind
Taste: spicy in the taste with notes of dark chocolate and liquorice - in the background traces of sweet sherry
Departure: long finish with a malty sweetness and fine sherry notes
Distilled: 26.01.1978
Filled: 11.07.2016
Barrel #: # 748 & # 749
