An elegant Canadian Blended Whiskey that is stored in traditional warehouses in Pike Creek, Ontario, Canada, for ten long years before receiving a finish in exRumBarrels.
Due to the high temperature and climatic fluctuations, the whiskey matures into an expressive, characterful drink.

Aroma: sweet aromas of dried fruits paired with soft toffee - hints of spicy aromas, especially white pepper
Taste: again the fruits - but now more of a fruit cake, with caramelized sugar on citrus peels - then again the toffee with fresh vanilla pod
Departure: long and warming on the finish with light spice and a light rum sweetness

Kanadischer Whiskey, preiswert, aber dennoch interessant, weil (sehr ungewöhnlich) deutliches Rumaroma. Muss man einfach einmal ausprobieren, ob einem das zusagt. Wir bewerten dennoch mit 5 Sternen.

Sehr gut gelungener Kanadier mit exzelentem Rum Finish!

Das war vor jahren mein Einstieg in die Whisky Welt. Damals war es kein Rum Barrel Finish, aber gerade deswegen habe ich mir diesen hier geholt. Beim öffnen kommt einem schon ein Schwall Rum entgegen. Das finish ist total im vordergrund. Unterstützt durch typische, würzige süße des Kanadischen Whisky. Aber anders als die "sonstigen" Kanadier ist der Pike Creek nicht zu süß, sondern bietet noch Ecken und Kanten. Eine leichte Alkoholschärfe unterstützt dies. Für mich ist der PC ein ganz "gefährlicher" sipping Whiskey, der einen netten Abend mit freunden noch netter macht. Top!
