The Norse goddess (and beauty ...) Yula is the namesake for this bottling.
According to legend, Yula was looking for her long-lost love, she was wearing an apron full of magical stones - on her journey Yula lost these stones and formed a chain of islands west of Scotland's coast ...
The last stone that Yula lost was the island of Islay, where according to legend it is buried - two standing stones still show the place where Yula is buried.

Yula is a classic vatted malt, only selected malt whiskeys found their way into this bottling in barrel strength.

Aroma: clearly the proximity to the sea, fresh sea air and sea salt - in the background gentle peat flavors
Taste: sweet with a distinct butterscotch - moist charcoal behind, grilled ash and chimney soot
Finish: long finish - again the coal and the ashes, then sweet toast and cough drops, light phenols
