Aroma: clearly fruity aromas with a slight pungency, salty sea air and juicy grapes - behind them orange and some smoke
Taste: full and heavy in flavor with fine fruit notes and sea
Finish: fresh coffee and spicy oak - followed by intense malt tones

Ob einem der Aufpreis gegenüber dem 14-jährigen Standard wert ist muss jeder selbst entscheiden, aber die DE von Oban ist schon ein rundherum gelungener Whisky mit viel Kraft und Volumen. Dunkle Früchte, Trockenobst, Süße, vielleicht eine Spur Rauch, Meeresbrise, alles da. Ich mag ihn sehr.

Schöner Oban dem die Nachreifung im Montilla Fino Cask deutlich gut getan hat. Fruchtig, aber auch sehr trocken.
